100% merino wool

Double Sunday is our thickest variant of 100% merino wool and is the perfect basic yarn: a thick non-superwash treated yarn that can be knitted with single and double strand. Or knit together with Thin Silk Mohair.

Merino wool is not only insulating, but also conducts moisture away from the body and retains heat, even when damp, thanks to the structure of the fibres. The wool can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in water before it starts to feel wet.
If washing in a machine, we recommend that all wool garments are washed separately on a wool program for the most gentle treatment. Due to merino wool's unique absorbency, it is important to spin hand-knitted garments well, before drying them flat, preferably on top of a towel.
